To see and be seen

After my many years of learning, unlearning and relearning about myself, my relationship with the fashion/lifestyle industry and my place within the system, I can’t start talking about fashion without naming the external elements that allow this industry to exist. Just like any other business, fashion companies provide solutions to specified sectors of global communities answering their needs based on the individual and collective life continuum that the community requires to coexist.

Fashion must be the most intoxicating release from the banality of the world.
— Diana Vreeland

I think fashion is art, it’s commerce, it’s function, it’s expression and what comes next will be marvellous! Fashion is about storytelling through clothing! It’s about the stories behind them and the ones you create around them. Contact me via e-mail and let me know what you think?

Sales is an art and science

Sales-Art-Science.jpg

My interest in psychology stems from the fact that I’ve always been a lover of people. I have always wanted to know the reason behind certain behaviours and why people do certain things. Sales is about helping your clients and from a psychological perspective you become a real trusted advisor when your clients become comfortable disclosing certain things. From the psychology stand point, it’s allowed me to be more understanding, empathic and better listener. Most people who know me will say that I have a natural air of confidence and I am very easy to talk to.

Selling is an art that requires the ability to form good relationships with others as well as a science that requires the development of successful, repeatable strategies. The Covid-19 pandemic has made it easier to be yourself, challenge the status quo and transform the ways in which you work. Contact me via e-mail if you would like to learn how to move away from your own needs and focus on the customer perspectives?

Detroit vs. Pepsi

Detroit in the State of Michigan came into my periphery as it was the home of Motown. Detroit is also known as the motor city - back in the days the Big Three car manufacturers (Chrysler, Ford and General Motors) had their headquarters there. Nowadays, it is the second poorest city in America and famous for D12 and Eminem. Well done to Pepsi for recognising the talent in the city.
